Federal Minister visits Somerville
The Hon Christian Porter MP, Federal Minister for Social Services and Natasha Griggs MP, Country Liberal Party Federal Member for Solomon, Northern Territory visited Somerville this week to provide more details on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), which will be gradually rolled out in the Territory from July.
Mr Porter said that “The scheme will provide services to more people and create jobs in the NT. Based on all our learning so far there will be 1500 jobs created in and around servicing people who will be beneficiaries around the NDIS”. The NT signed up to the full scheme early this month.
Somerville greatly appreciates Mr Porter and Ms Griggs for taking the time to visit and talk with staff and service users.
