Somerville Community Services Launches 2026–2028 Strategic Plan
Somerville Community Services has launched its 2026–2028 Strategic Plan, setting a clear direction for sustainable growth, workforce strength and high-quality disability support across the Territory.
Operating in Darwin, Palmerston, Katherine and Alice Springs, Somerville supports Territorians through person-centred disability services and specialist housing, underpinned by strong governance and clinical oversight. The new Strategic Plan reaffirms the organisation’s vision that People have the courage to be — ensuring participants are supported to live with dignity, independence and choice.
Over the next three years, Somerville Community Services will focus on:
• Delivering high-quality, person-centred and culturally responsive support
• Strengthening governance, compliance and clinical frameworks
• Building a capable, values-driven and engaged workforce
• Growing sustainably while maintaining service excellence
• Deepening community partnerships across the Territory
The strategy balances responsible growth with operational excellence, ensuring Somerville continues to meet increasing demand while protecting quality, safety and financial sustainability.
For more than 60 years, Somerville has walked alongside Territorians through changing policy landscapes and community needs. The 2026–2028 Strategic Plan positions the organisation to remain strong, responsive and accountable — now and into the future.
