YMCA Youth Mentoring Session and Concert

Somerville’s Katherine Youth and Family Services team attended the YMCA Youth Mentoring Session and Concert.   

The event aimed to empower youth in the community with positive messages and health and wellbeing workshops.   International musician and song writer Sean Kingston also performed.

In recognition of their positive school and YMCA attendance efforts, youths who face complex and multiple challenges, associated with at risk behaviours including: mental health; self-harm; substance misuse; anti-social and unlawful behavior, were connected to the event through their schools and community services.

Several community and youth service providers attended the event providing: mentoring, activities, information and referrals.
