Our Christmas Gift Box Appeal

It’s a sad fact that an overwhelming number of families will be unable to buy Christmas gifts for their children this year, so Somerville has launched the Christmas Gift Box Appeal, formerly Operation Santa, for 2015.

The Mayor of Palmerston, Mr Ian Abbott, officially opened the Appeal at the Target store in Palmerston where guests and shoppers enjoyed festivities and entertainment from The Palmerston Christian School Choir.

Everyone is able to help those less fortunate simply by placing an unwrapped gift inside the large gift box located at the Target stores in Palmerston and Katherine.

The Christmas Gift Box Appeal runs until Wednesday 23 December when Somerville staff will collect the gifts and distribute them to those Territorians most in need.
