2015 NT Disability Services Awards – A winner from Somerville

In recognition of the disability services sector, the NT Disability Services Awards 2015 were announced last week.

Now in their fifth year, the Awards set out to promote the value of a career in the disability sector and celebrate the positive contributions of the Northern Territory community in creating opportunities for people with a disability.

They also offer an opportunity to recognise exceptional individuals working in the disability sector together with government and non-government services, organisations, businesses and programs which demonstrate outstanding commitment to improving the lives of people with a disability.

The “Outstanding Disability Service Employee” was awarded to Mavis White, a Coordinator with Somerville’s disability services team.

Congratulations Mavis and to all the wonderful people who work tirelessly in the sector.
