Margaret Somerville Award – Sinu Thomas
The 2019 Margaret Somerville Award was presented to Sinu Thomas by the Minister for Disabilities, the Hon Natasha Fyles, at a morning tea held at Somerville’s Wagaman offices. Sinu works in Somerville’s Disability Services as a Team Leader in Katherine and joined Somerville in 2014.
The Margaret Somerville Award, in memory of our namesake, was established to recognise the exemplary service and outstanding performance of an individual within our organisation. Nominees for the Award are judged on the following qualities:
- displays an empathetic approach
- has a ‘can do’ attitude
- is a positive, committed person who goes the extra mile, and
- has a work ethic that is aligned with Somerville’s mission
